At a college, 80% of the all students are from Illinois, and 20% of the Illinois students are from Chicago. What percent of all the students are from Chicago? ---------------- 0.20*0.80 = 0.16 or 16% ============================== Cheers, Stan H.

80% = 4/5 20% = 1/5 to take 20% of 80% simply multiply them together {{{(4/5)(1/5) = 4/25}}} {{{4/25 = .16}}} and .16 = 16% so 16% of all students are from Chicago
