How many bottles of red paint will you need and how many bottles of yellow paint will you need? (All bottles are the same size.) : Ratio of red:yellow to make orange {{{(2/3)/(4/5)}}} = {{{2/3}}} * {{{5/4}}} = {{{10/12}}} = {{{5/6}}} : r:y = 5:6 then we know: r + y = 11 therefore {{{5/11}}}*88 = 40 bottles of red and {{{6/11}}}*88 = 48 bottles of yellow :
